Sheffield Wednesday press day LIVE: Chey Dunkley and Darren Moore on Wimbledon trip
DM on Rob Lee
I think he could have a huge impact, but it’s also a joint effort by all of the sports science, medical and coaching department...
DM on so many injuries
It’s difficult to say why it’s so many... It’s frustrating because you want your players together as one, so you have options. So it’s frustrating, but I can’t say a specific reason because it can happen due to a multitude of reasons.
DM on Kamberi
For Flo he’s fine where he is. I was pleased that he got the 90 minutes and winning goal in the cup game.
I was pleased he got on the scoresheet and that time. It’s pleasing to know he has those minutes going into the next fixtures.
If we feel we need to start him, we have no hesitations.
DM on academy
It’s wonderful. You want to see young players developing.
There’s a firm belief in the younger players because of the opportunity and working hard.
It’s been incredible in terms of Jack’s ability.
DM on Jack Hall
It’s great. I had representatives from the England camp ring me up and explain how excellent Jack was on camp.
They feel we have a really top prospect here. He’s a young keeper growing in stature and he’s training with the first team.
He’s training with big names and he’s illustrating to us his shots and positioning for each striker, that power. It shows what we think of him.
He’s two excellent coaches here and he’s in good hands.
DM on the trialists
We had a look at both players and at this time we deemed both players weren’t where we needed them to be.
Jayden is still a spossibility but we’ll have a look over the next couple of weeks
DM on player complacency
What we do is prepare with absolute detail.
It’s about how we nullify their strengths and weaknesses, and that’s no different to any other team in the division.
For me they’re a team contesting in our league. It’s the next fixture and we’re looking forward to it.
DM on avoiding another dip
You never want any type of blip but you have to keep moving and keep your foot on the pedal.
That’s what we need to do.
DM on the playoff places
It would be a wonderful boost. We have to concentrate on our approach and making sure we’re doing the right things and keep this run of games going.
Should it mean we perform well and it gets us the points then great. We’ll keep the focus.
DM on AFC Wimbledon
It’s a magnificent story in terms of where they’ve got to. It’s a new stadium and everything else.
Their story from where they’ve been to where they’ve risen to now.
The manager is doing a great job now and it’s a different style of play. I congratulate them all.
They’re going to play, that’s Robbo’s style. There’s no given way to play. The last couple of years they’ve changed their identity and they’re going about it in a nice manner. It’ll be a footballing match and two teams that will contest the game.
