Sheffield Wednesday press day LIVE - Joe Wildsmith and Darren Moore speak ahead of Bolton Wanderers clash
DM on Brown at left-back
The opportunity hasn;t been there because Marvin has been there. Every time he has stepped in he’s done well [Jaden]. The boy has great versatility.
DM on conceding goals
It’s been through lack of concentration. We look at it as a team basis, not that it’s down the left or whatever.
There’s been a concern with it, but we know as a team we have to keep the concentration going forward.
DM on Marvin Johnson
He’s been great. We feel we’ll get stronger and stronger. We knew at the time we signed these players we’d need work in them, players get stronger and stronger.
Marvin is an experienced left-back, he knows his game inside out and he knows to put his best foot forward.
DM on back three possibility
I’ve been clear from my notes in preseason that I can work with a three and a four, no problem.
I’ll gladly work with them whenever I’ve seen right, I;ve illustrated that since I joined the football club. I see no reason why we can’t do that.
DM on Lewis Gibson
We feel we’re in a position where we’ll look at him for a game. I’d class him as definitely someone that is part of the game going forward.
JW on vaccinations
I’ve been double vaccinated only recently. It’s comething I’ve not thought too much about.
It was more for convenience really. I’ve had them done and had no reactions.
I’m happy to get it out of the way and hopefully we can move towards normality soon.
JW on mistakes in the past
You try to block it out. You can make a mistake, make five saves in the next game and everything is forgotten about.
It’s about blocking it out and focusing on the next game.
JW on BPF criticism
We’ve all gone through stages where the fans and media are questioning what’s happening. It’s not nice and I’ve been through it before.
You feel a little bit alone because nobody understands the feeling of being a goalkeeper. He’s a strong enough boy and he’s a good enough goalkeeper. He’s seen it before and he’ll show it again.
It’s not nice to watch but he’ll get through it.
