Sheffield Wednesday open their EFL Trophy account against Salford City tonight.
The Owls travel to the League Two side for the first of three group games, with the other two against Sunderland under-21s and Accrington Stanley.
It will be the first time Wednesday and Salford have faced each other in any competition.
The cup clash will give manager Henrik Pedersen a chance to have a look at some players who have not been involved recently and use it as an opportunity to get others up to speed as they return from injury. However, competition rules means that teams must meet certain criteria regarding their selections otherwise they could be fined.
Let’s take a look at how they could line-up...

1. Ashley Maynard-Brewer - GK
The summer signing is yet to make an appearance but has had some first-team action at Gillingham on an emergency loan. He is back with Wednesday now and has been on the bench.

2. Liam Palmer - RB
Yan Valery is on international duty with Tunisia but may have been rested anyway. It means long-serving 'Palms' could get a runout. | Steve Ellis

3. Gabriel Otegbayo - RCB
Ricardo Santos is unlikely to be risked after he was forced off late on against Stockport County on Saturday. Otegbayo has not made the Republic of Ireland under-21s squad so he is available. Ernie Weaver could also start depending on Wednesday' approach to the competition's rules. | Steve Ellis

4. Di'Shon Bernard - LCB
Henrik Pedersen has confirmed he is set to play 45-60 minutes in this game. He made his long-awaited return from injury just over a week ago so this is the next step in his road to recovery. All eyes will be on him. | Steve Ellis
