The League Two side came to play and did well against an eight-change Owls side that couldn’t get themselves going for much of the game.
Full debuts were handed to Vasquez, Pol Valentin, Bambo Diaby, Di’shon Bernard, Anthony Musaba and Ashley Fletcher with much-needed minutes piled into the legs.
A laboured first hour was altered when Callum Paterson and Josh Windass emerged from the bench, with a late flurry of efforts more encouraging.
And after Bakinson bundled the ball home to cancel out Paddy Madden’s classy opener, it fell to Vasquez to make two shootout saves and take the Owls through.

Got clattered early doors with a naughty one. Made a couple of important defensive interventions. Had plenty of the ball and did OK - producing a couple of decent crosses. Got a little stuck between staying or going in closing down the cross for Madden’s classy goal. Photo: Ashley Allen

Struggled to get into the game first half and found himself drifting inside to find some action. Produced a couple of nice flashes and tried a couple of nice-looking balls that didn’t quite come off. Faded. | SWFC
7. Barry Bannan - 6
Looked a little more comfortable with license to roam from time to time but his passing radar was wavy, particularly for the first hour. From there he seemed to get himself going, threaded a couple of nice balls and came alive later on. His ball into the box sparked the chaos for the equaliser and his pen was a thing of class. 8. Will Vaulks - 5
Had loads of the ball from the off but couldn’t seem to get things moving in what was a largely disjointed team performance. Yellow carded having got himself into a muddle on the ball towards the back end of the first half. Grew into the second half a touch more. | Getty Images
