'Incredible' - Sheffield Wednesday summer signing shares what has impressed him most about Owls boss
Sheffield Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen has been lauded by loanee Davis Keillor-Dunn.
Sheffield Wednesday attacker Davis Keillor-Dunn has admitted he has never met anyone as interested in football as manager Henrik Pedersen, describing his attention to detail as “incredible”.
Keillor-Dunn made the admission after scoring twice in Saturday afternoon’s 5-0 win over AFC Wimbledon at Hillsborough, helping the Owls secure a much-needed victory following a run of three successive League One draws.
Keillor-Dunn was restored to the starting line-up after making a positive impact off the bench in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Huddersfield Town the previous weekend. He started in the No.10 position, and almost all of the Owls’ good play went through him.
The Wrexham loanee has needed a little bit of time to get up to speed and settle into a rhythm since arriving at Hillsborough last month. However, his performance against Wimbledon felt like the breakthrough moment he had been searching for. He will now be hoping to build on the two goals and assist he registered at the weekend when Wednesday face Notts County on Tuesday evening.
From a results perspective, Wednesday have made a solid start to the season, amassing 18 points from their first nine matches, meaning some of the criticism directed at manager Pedersen has arguably been harsh.
Asked how he has found working with Pedersen so far, Keillor-Dunn said: “Yes, really good. The detail is incredible. I think seven days a week, he must be sat there revising, thinking about the next game.

“I’ve never met someone so interested in the game. It’s really good; you learn a lot. It’s really good to be coached like that as well.
“So, yes, even at 28, you always want to be learning, don’t you? So, it’s nice.”
Admitting that Pedersen is different from managers he has worked with previously, Keillor-Dunn added: “I’ve got to be honest, he’s quite different. He’s very, very detailed.
“But his passion for the game is unbelievable, and that’s all you want: someone who really cares, and someone who puts their trust and faith in you. So, I can’t thank him enough.”
