Reach was brought in from Middlesbrough back in 2016, and has given Wednesdayites some amazing memories over the years with a number of long-range goals and game-winning moments.

Now though, with his contract set to expire at the end of June, there have been questions raised about his future at Hillsborough, and he admits that he’s not too worried about it at this point in time.

Speaking to The Star this afternoon, the 27-year-old said, “As of right now, there have been no discussions opened… Obviously the club has had bigger things to worry about in terms of its own future, hasn’t it.

“I’m sure now that that’s sorted, if the club wants to start discussions then I’ll see what happens.

“At the end of this season it’ll be five years, and I’d like to think I’ll be over 200 appearances by then. I’ve been a good servant, tried to do my best, and we’ve had ups and downs of course.

“But I wouldn’t change that for the world, because I think it matures you as a person, and definitely improves your resilience and mentality as a player.”

He went on to add, “So we’ll see what the future holds for me. There are targets that I want to achieve, and there’s ones the club wants to achieve, and I’m pretty sure they’re the same thing - getting to the Premier League, playing at the highest level.

“But I’m not looking that far ahead, I know I’ve got a lot of things to improve on - as does the club in terms of our position. I’ll take the games as they come.

“I’m happy, I just want to keep playing and help the club get out of this situation because I think we were still capable of having a successful season.”

Reach has directly contributed to 49 goals - 18 goals, 31 assists - since his arrival at S6, more than any other player in the current side (Barry Bannan is next with 46).
