Darren Moore will be watching from home once again as he recovers from Coronavirus-related complications, and the thoughts of everyone at The Star continue to go out to him as he works his way back to health.
Wednesday, meanwhile, need to get their acts together if they’re to keep their already slim chances of survival alive. If they lose tonight and Derby County win, then they’re officially down.
We’ll be here for the blow-by-blow at Hillsborough.
Sheffield Wednesday v Blackburn Rovers LIVE: Owls look to delay relegation at Hillsborough
Last updated: Tuesday, 20 April, 2021, 21:19
- A defeat for SWFC and a Derby County win would relegate the Owls
- They drew 1-1 with Bristol City last time out
- Darren Moore will still be unavailable
JS on Kachunga and Brown
They’ll have a day off tomorrow to rest and recover - although we still want them to do certain things.
Kacha was ill after the game, and Izzy showed signs of illness on Thursday. They could potentially be back for Saturday.
JS on Moore
He’s a lot better today, spoke just before the game. He was in contact, which was pleasing. He’s a lot better.
It’s too early to say if he’ll be back before the end of the season, he’s not out of the woods yet.
JS on small lead
We spoke at halftime about being in this position in the lead... We needed to make sure we didn’t finish the job.
JS on Windass
Josh has been excellent for us, he’s a constant threat and is always running behind... He does that for us, gives us an outlet, and he’s a good finisher too.
JS on characters
There were 11 characters out there tonight, plus the ones that came on. It was a good squad performance.
We have to win the next three thought, it’s as simple as that. We have to concentrate on ourselves.
JS on style
We have our style and way of playing. And if we can get the result, that’s the best thing.
JS on leaders
There are leaders out there, and you want them organising themselves. It’s what you want to see.
