Sheffield Wednesday injury update ahead of Watford clash – Garry Monk’s lowdown
and live on Freeview channel 276
The Owls boss made 11 changes to his starting XI against Rochdale after their Championship win over Cardiff City, and following back-to-back 2-0 wins he’s pleased report that they’ve come through the matches unscathed.
Chey Dunkley and Osaze Urhoghide remain the only two out of contention, although there’s been good news on both fronts as he aims to get them back available as soon as it’s safe to do so – with the former making good progress with his recovery process.

Hide AdMonk told The Star, “We’ve got a clean bill of health, which is good… It’s exactly the same for this game as it has been since the start of the season.
“Chey went for his check-up scan with his consultant, and it was really good news. We’re really happy with it, he’s progressed well and he’s work well.
“Again it’s just a process of building him up - he’s missed quite a lot of football with the injury he had, but it’s healing really well and it’s just about building up the strength around it and his football fitness.”
And what about Urhoghide?
“Osaze is back in training, so it’s just about looking at him and what he might need - whether he needs some preparation games with the U23s first.

Meanwhile, when asked whether any of the starters against Rochdale have given him some food for thought in terms of his Hornets selection, he said, “Everyone… That’s what we’ve set out to do. It’s competition all the time, every day.
“We’ve shortened the squad and done what we’ve done for a reason, so they’re all going to be needed. You’ve seen the attitude in the squad, and it’s important that that attitude remains.”
Wednesday face Watford at 3pm on Saturday as they look to make it four games unbeaten for the first time this year.
