There were 11 changes from Garry Monk, but it paid off in the end after he named 10 Owls academy graduates in the matchday squad. Do you agree with Joe’s ratings?

Nothing wrong from Wildsmith and solid showing, but he wasn't too busy throughout the game. Did well when he was called upon.
Very accomplished performance from the youngster at the back, more than once mopping things up after mistakes from others. Vocal, got stuck in and really impressed.

Made a couple of mistakes and didn't look quite as solid as Shaw, but a decent debut nonetheless and he'll have been pleased to come through it with a clean sheet.
Aside from his two foul throws - which is mad at this level - it was a good performance on the German's return to action. Was always on the front foot from the back, and helped build-up some attacks.
A superb assist for Kachunga's goal, and was very solid down the right-hand side - both defensively and going forward. The only remaining player from the Owls' 2-1 win over Rochdale in 2014, and he was very steady tonight.
Did well enough down the left, full of energy and never gave up on anything despite spending a lot of time on his weaker foot. Hardly put a foot wrong.
A good shout for Man of the Match, Hunt probably had his best performance in a Wednesday shirt tonight. Ran things in the middle, got stuck in and showed some real attacking threat as well. Very good performance from the Owls academy man.
An exciting display from the midfielder who showed his strength, power and energy on many occasions. Won the ball in the middle, was full of pressing and he looks excellent on the ball. Good showing from the young man.
Did what Pelupessy does. No bells and whistles, but made some good interceptions and tackles, and was there to give Hunt and Dele-Bashiru the space. Sat in front of the back three, broke things down.
First start, first goal, and you can't ask for more. Came off in the second half after running his socks off for the club. Exactly what is expected of him, and he took his goal really well. Top header as reward for his efforts.
Really came into the game after a tough first half. Hit the crossbar and really put in a big shift for the team. Should've scored at some point, but can't fault his effort at all. Dropped deeper and made things happen in the second 45. Assisted the second.
Looked a bright spark when he came on, very busy and full of running. Took his goal well, lovely finish, and should have scored at least once more. Another good Owls showing for the new signing, so much energy.
Came on late to help see out the result. Didn't put a foot wrong.
A very late sub, another youngster getting a runout. Tidy.
