The Owls will be desperate to return to winning ways after their gut punch defeat to Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday evening, however will still not be at full strength as they deal with a handful of injury concerns.

Akin Famewo and Dennis Adeniran remain long-term absentees as they undergo rehabilitation together, while there are question marks over the fitness of Reece James and Mallik Wilks after they both picked up knocks over the course of the last week.

But while there are still concerns, Wednesday were able to welcome back Lee Gregory to the matchday squad as he returned as a late substitute at Home Park, and the same may be said about Byers and McGuinness at Hillsborough this coming weekend.

When asked about the popular midfielder, the Owls boss said, “We’ll assess George over the next couple of days before Saturday and see where he’s at… We’ll see if he can get trains over the next few days, and if so we’ll assess him for Saturday.

Meanwhile, on the defender, Moore said that they’re hopeful that he’s ‘near enough’, but admitted that they’ll keep an eye on him in training this week before making a decision.

The Robins will be without key striker, Alfie May, as be begins a road to recovery of his own after a recent injury, though they managed to beat Bolton Wanderers without him as they moved up to 14th place in League One.
