In-form Sheffield Wednesday striker lands international call-up - it's another step up
In-form Sheffield Wednesday youngster, Devlan Moses, has been called up to represent Northern Ireland’s U21s for the first time.
Moses, who has been on fire in the Owls youth setup this season, was named in Tommy Wright’s squad for their UEFA European Under-21 Championship Euro qualifiers away to Germany and Latvia, and will be desperate to take his club form onto the international stage.
The 20-year-old is no stranger to the NI setup having played - and scored - for them at U19 level, but this will be the first opportunity for him to show what he can do in a new age group.
Wednesday manager, Henrik Pedersen, has spoken lighly of the forward recently as he continues to be ingratiated into the first team setup at Middlewood Road, and it’s expected that he’ll get more minutes in the Championship as the season comes to a close. With nine goals in his last four matches, his confidence will be sky high.
Moses and his NI teammates will take on Germany at the Eintracht Stadion in Braunschweig on March 27th, before travelling to Latvia on March 31st for a clash at Daugava Stadium in Riga. The Owls youngster will be hoping to get some gametime in both encounters.
