The 24-year-old hasn’t played for the Owls since the 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra back in December due to injury - however is now on the brink of his return to action.

Shodipo got 11 goals whilst on loan with Oxford United in League One last season, but has just the one league strike this season in the 13 matches that he's been able to play in Owls colours.

Now though, having worked hard to get back available and in contention, Darren Moore has confirmed that he is in the squad that will take on Wimbledon on Saturday, adding that it comes as a major boost for the side – especially given the setback that Josh Windass is dealing with in his bid to get back playing again.

Speaking to the media today, Moore said, “Yeah, he’s involved in the squad - I’ve named him in it tomorrow… He’s progressed really, really well.

"With Josh having a little setback with his injury, it’s good to have Mide back in and around it, especially off the left hand side. It’s great to have him back - he’s trained well this week.”

The Owls take on the Dons at 3pm tomorrow afternoon knowing that even a draw could be enough to see them climb up to fifth place in the table, however will be desperate to get another three points and add to their already impressive run of form on home soil.
