Pudil is currently working hard alongside the Owls to put on a game in S6 that will raise money for Weston Park Cancer Charity in Sheffield and Real Top Praha in his home nation of the Czech Republic, with several names already lined up for the event.

The likes of Glenn Loovens, Reda Johnson, Glenn Whelan, Ross Wallace, and JP McGovern are set to turn out in blue and white on May 14th, while Czech stars such as Vladimir Smicer, Jan Koller and Tomas Ujfalusi are due to be part of the opposition.

Pudil says that the list isn’t finalised just yet though, and revealed that he’s working on bringing another of his former Owls teammates back for what could be an emotional return after fans got behind Semedo following the tragic passing of his wife last year.

Speaking to The Star in the build-up to the game in May, the former defender said, “I’m really looking forward to playing with players like Ross Wallace and Glenn Loovens, obviously I was with them for about four years at Wednesday… I’m also keeping in touch with José Semedo, who said that he might come as well.

“He sent me a message saying that he’d love to come, and he said he can’t miss it. So hopefully he’s coming, because it’d be really great to see him back – I’m looking forward to seeing him, and I’m sure the crowd would as well.”

The game will be proceeded by ‘An Evening with the Legends’ in the Hillsborough 1867 Lounge the night before, and tickets are already selling well for a night that will offer fans a chance to get up close and personal with some of their biggest Wednesday heroes as well as a number of Czech internationals.

Pudil and the Owls are also working on getting a few other faces through the door in the next month or so, and are hoping to raise plenty of money to help those in need of it via the medium of the beautiful game.
