Sheffield Wednesday confirm positive Fisayo Dele-Bashiru update before Accrington Stanley clash

Darren Moore said after the 1-1 draw - that ended in a 6-5 penalty shootout defeat – that the youngster had felt a soreness in his Achilles, an injury that had plenty of Wednesdayites worrying, however it’s now been confirmed that he trained on Friday and is in contention for another start should he be selected against Accrington Stanley.

When asked about the midfielder today, the Owls boss said, “We feel with Fizz that he’s ok… He’s trained today, so he’s fine providing there’s no reaction tomorrow. He’s fine to be part of the squad again.”

Wednesday face Stanley at 3pm on Saturday afternoon as they look to extend their unbeaten run in League One to six games, and could potentially move into the automatic places this weekend if they pick up three points and Cheltenham Town pull of a shock victory over Ipswich Town.
