The Owls won out through a Barry Bannan penalty and in doing so kept their fourth clean sheet in a row – winning their fourth straight game for the first time since April 2017.
It feels as though something may well be building towards something – considering their injury malaise, it’s impressive stuff.
Did well not to get booked for a high challenge midway through the first half. Otherwise as solid as his recent form would suggest. Looks to be relishing the chance to lead this backline. Photo: Steve Ellis
Shot from range early doors and looked good on the ball. Just managed to get the wrong side of Lang once or twice in the first 45 but had him pretty much wrapped up in the second half and thundered into a few tackles. Photo: Steve Ellis
Continued his confident run of form. Wasted a great chance following good work to get into the box off Bannan's through-ball in the first half but battled back and played a vital part in earning the penalty. Seemed to relish his battle with Darikwa and won it. Photo: Steve Ellis
Set the tone with a cracking early tackle and continued in that vein - he looks remarkably willing to get stuck in for a man with that hairdo. Moved the ball as well as anyone. Photo: Steve Ellis
