Sheffield Wednesday were held to a goalless draw by League Two Accrington Stanley in their first friendly of the day.
The Owls travelled to The Wham Stadium on Saturday lunchtime before taking on Oldham Athletic at 4pm.
In game of few chances, new Wednesday stopper, Connal Trueman, saved comfortably from Isaac Sinclair and Alex Henderson. The visitors put a couple of slick moves together in the first-half but clear-cut chances were hard to come by.
Here are our player ratings from the game...
9. Will Grainger 6
Looked like he played in the 10 behind Burstow. Not the easiest of tasks trying to pick up second balls against a hard-working Accrington side. Had one dangerous shot blocked. Quiet-ish after the break. | Sheffield Wednesday
10. Harry Gray 6
Played off the left and a lot of Wednesday's play came down that side. Could be a position we saw him in more. One teasing cross asked questions. Less impact after the break. | Getty Images
11. Mason Burstow 7
An encouraging first 45 minutes from the new signing. Played up top down the middle. Offered a physical presence and looked sharp. Looked keen to impress.
12. Joe Emery 6
On for Valery at half-time. McGhee's injury saw him move inside to centre-back. | Steve Ellis
