Fixture changes confirmed for Sheffield Wednesday

It was today confirmed that two Sheffield Wednesday fixtures have been shifted after another game was selected as part of Sky’s Championship coverage.

Garry Monk’s side will get back underway on June 20th against Nottingham Forest as football comes back to England’s second tier for the first time in over three months, with the game set to be played out on the iFollow platform.

Eight days later, on June 28th, Wednesday’s away trip to Bristol City will be televised by Sky Sports in a 12pm kick off, and it has now been confirmed that a week later the Owls will be televised against Swansea City at the same time on July 5th.

As a result of that change, Wednesday’s home tie against Preston North End, has been pushed back 24 hours and will now take place on July 8th rather than July 7th.

Wednesday’s updated fixture list now looks like this:

SWFC v Nottingham Forest | Saturday 20 June (3.00pm)

Bristol City v SWFC | Sunday 28 June (12 noon)

Monk’s side are currently being put through their paces at Middlewood Road and Hillsborough as the manager looks to make a decision on who will start against Forest in eight days’ time.
