Dunfermline to make a decision on departing Sheffield Wednesday defender…
Rice, who will see his Owls contract officially expire at the end of this month, had been heavily linked with a move north of the border after impressing during a trial spell with Dunfermline, and this week he took part in a friendly as they continued to assess him further.
The 20-year-old centre back, who made his Owls debut in the FA Cup win over Exeter City last season, is on the hunt for his next move, however it remains to be seen whether that will be working under Grant or not.

Hide AdSpeaking after his side drew 2-2 with Spartans this week, the Dunfermline manager was full of praise for the youngster, saying, “His attitude has been first class, he has been in near enough two weeks now and it is only fair that I speak to the boy tomorrow to see what his thoughts are, see what my thoughts are and I will tell him what I think.
“Within the next couple of days I will make a decision on that because I think it is important for the boys, because if it is not going to be here it is only fair that they are in a good place to go somewhere else and ready to go and place elsewhere.”
Meanwhile, Scottish website, Not The Old Firm, are reporting that The Pars aren’t expected to sign the young central defender.
