Dominic Iorfa? Kadeem Harris? Neither? – Tony Strudwick settles the Sheffield Wednesday speed debate
and live on Freeview channel 276
Wednesday are not short of speedy players, with Kadeem Harris, Dominic Iorfa, Josh Windass and Andre Green all having an impressive turn of pace, but who would take the gold medal?
The likes of Iorfa and Harris have both backed themselves in terms of who is the fastest player at the club currently, but ‘Struds’ – the club’s Head of Sports Science and Medicine – has revealed who the quickest player is, but he admits that it’s not as easy as just looking at general speed.

“But if it’s over 20/30 metres - and I’m probably going to cause an internal row here! - it’s got to be Fisayo Dele-Bashiru or Osaze Urhoghide. And they argue about that every day, Fizz and O. I wind Fizz up and tell him Osaze is quicker.
“But yeah, it depends. because of Dom’s long levers he takes a bit longer to get into his stride, but once he’s in that stride he’s unstoppable. Fizz and O are rapid over 20/30 metres.”
Sadly, it’ll be some time until Wednesdayites see Iorfa’s marauding runs live as he works his way back from Achilles surgery, but maybe it’ll give some of the others a chance to try and catch up to his top speed.
