Wednesday have won their last three games against the Bees at Hillsborough, but the game that sticks in recent memory is the 5-0 defeat at Griffin Park that happened just before the nationwide lockdown earlier in the year.

While that defeat will weigh heavy for some, Wednesday are much changed since that trip down South, and Frank says that the Owls are among the strongest in the Championship at this point in time.

Speaking to the media in a virtual press conference this week, the Danish manager said, “I have the biggest respect for Sheffield Wednesday, I think they are one of the strongest teams in the division…

“I think if they hadn’t had the 12-point deduction then they would’ve been in the top 10 or something like that. If you look at the names of the players, there are some quality players in the squad.

“I think Garry Monk and his coaching staff, and the players, have done a top job, because it’s a tough one when you start the season on -12… They look very solid, we know they’re a threat.”

The Owls have won just one of their last 15 games at S6 in what is their worst home run for years, but will take solace from the fact that they’ve picked up two points at home against Watford and Queens Park Rangers – both games where on another day they could’ve taken all six.
