Wednesday secured deadline day deals for Jack Marriott and Aden Flint ahead of Saturday’s win over Birmingham City, with both going on to make their debut in the 1-0 victory at St. Andrews.

The 20-year-old forward was first spotted at the club when he started for the U23s earlier this month, and he went on to spend a bit of time with Garry Monk and his senior team as they sought to have a closer look at him.

At this point in time it remains to be seen whether the former Liverpool academy starlet will secure himself a deal at Hillsborough, but he’s expected to feature against Cardiff City, with a decision likely to be made in the days that follow.

The Owls had a busy transfer window in general, snapping up a total of nine players as they looked to bulk up for the 2020/21 campaign, and no doubt Monk will be keeping his eye now on the free agent market to see whether there is anyone else that has come available who he feels might be able to do a job at Hillsborough going forward.
