Eleven years on, what happened to the Blades’ squad from that fateful day at Wembley? Let’s take a look…
5. Kyle Naughton
Another youngster who shone on the big day, Naughton went to Spurs with Walker but didn't manage to hit the same heights. He had three loan spells from Spurs before finding a permanent home at Swansea City Photo: Gerard Binks
6. David Cotterill
Still only 32 years old, the former Wales international battled alcohol dependency and revealed he had suffered depression during his playing career. He was last seen playing for Cymru Premier club Barry Town United Photo: Dean Atkins
7. Brian Howard
Formerly of Barnsley, Howard scored in the 2009 play-off semi-final to help United get to Wembley but left soon after to join Reading, with James Harper moving the other way. He later played for Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia before helping to set up an agency business Photo: Nick Potts
8. Nick Montgomery
A brilliant servant to the Blades, Montgomery played almost 400 times for the Blades before moving to Australia with his family in 2012. He coached Usain Bolt at Central Coast Mariners and is now involved in the club's academy set-up Photo: JPI
