Sheffield United transfer news: Blades wonder-kid ‘joins’ Man City, Everton ‘join’ race for Birmingham City star

Sheffield United will face Wigan Athletic in the Championship tonight as they look to narrow the gap between themselves and Burnley. The Clarets moved six points clear at the top of the table with their win over Middlesbrough.

The Blades will be targeting their third successive win but will be wary of Wigan, who are preparing for their first home match under new boss Kolo Toure. The Latics currently sit 23rd in the Championship after the former Liverpool defender picked up his first point against Millwall last weekend.
