Sheffield United surrendered their unbeaten record going into the international break with defeat at Charlton Athletic - with their frustration compounded by a real injury concern over Femi Seriki.
The right-back, who’s only just returned from a knee issue, came on at the break but made way minutes into the second half after falling awkwardly.
He was stretchered off, to a mixture of applause and boos from the Charlton supporters, with the hope that he has not suffered any real damage.
United had fought back from behind at Preston North End in midweek and saw their opponents seize the momentum again here, with Millenic Alli finding a way past Michael Cooper with a finish at the United ‘keeper’s near post.
But they got back on level terms when Jordan Ayew nodded home his first goal in United colours, after Will Mannion had only half-cleared Kalvin Phillips’ free-kick under pressure from a crowd of bodies.
They couldn’t see out the game, though, with Matty Godden coming off the bench to volley home the winner from close range. Here’s how we rated United’s players at The Valley...

9. Romelle Donovan 6
Once again looked like one of United's biggest threats down the left and there was some real concern just before the break when he went own with some sort of fitness issue and took an age to get off the pitch after the whistle had gone. But he was fit enough to continue after the break and showed some more promising moments to excite those Unitedites behind the goal he was attacking in the second half. He won the free-kick from which United got back on level terms with another lovely bit of trickery to bamboozle his marker but didn't have as much impact in the second half | ugc

10. Ben Brereton Diaz 5
Once again lined up more centrally with Bamford still out and had a couple of good sights of goal that he couldn't take advantage of. On the first occasion his touch let him down from Burrows' neat pass and the chance went begging and he couldn't make the most of the other one either. Made way late on for Campbell | ugc

11. Jordan Ayew 7
Forced an early save from Mannion with the first real chance of the game as the ball fell to him in the Charlton box, and if he had his time again I'm sure he'd feel like he could have directed it away from the home 'keeper rather than straight at him. But he soon made amends with a reaction header to level the scores after Mannion could only clear Phillips' free kick as far as the United No.10. It was a good reward for a workmanlike display leading the line where he chased every ball and he got a deserved reception when he made way for Cannon | ugc

12. Femi Seriki
Came on for Choudhury at the break and a couple of minutes later was leaving the pitch on a stretcher after landing awkwardly. The early signs didn't look good and hopefully it's not as bad as it seemed | ugc
