Yates then left Rovers to move to Crete with his family, where they were having a house built and he expressed an interest in working in health and fitness in between the occasional football game in the sun

A modern-day legend at the Lane, Brown left the Blades for Spurs and also played in the Premier League with Fulham. Now a pundit heard across the top-flight for a variety of outlets
7. Stuart McCall
Became Neil Warnock’s assistant at Bramall Lane after calling time on his glittering playing career and his career has gone full circle, returning to Bramall Lane as Paul Heckingbottom’s right-hand man two years ago
8. Nick Montgomery
A midfielder who spent almost his entire professional career at United, he left for Central Coast Mariners in 2012 and built a new career as a manager whilst Down Under. After leading them to the A-League championship last summer he was appointed as Hibernian’s new boss in September 2023
