Bournemouth v Sheffield United LIVE

Here come the teams

with the Blades in their third kit of green and gold, the home side in red and black which would clash with both the Blades’ kits - it wasn’t the luckiest kit when it was used last season, let’s hope it’s better this time around!

Another big day for these two

as they look to bring the creativity to the United side and hopefully land a punch or two on Bournemouth, who will look to play football themselves - could be a good game this if all goes to plan

The rain hasn’t subsided

with 10 minutes to kick-off, swirling wind too around the stadium ...

Why Slav isn’t concerned about 10 point gap to Cherries

Slavisa Jokanovic, the Sheffield United manager, has explained why he is not alarmed by the 10 point gap separating his team from the Championship’s automatic promotion positions.

United travel to AFC Bournemouth tomorrow knowing a defeat could see them fall even further off the top two pace, with Scott Parker’s second-placed side still unbeaten in the division this term and leaders West Bromwich Albion facing Stoke City tonight.

Jokanovic said: “They have started better. The big question is, who finishes better? We can not give up and they can not relax.”

Can the former Cherry haunt his former club today?

Why beating Sheffield Wednesday is still George Baldock's most cherished Sheffield United memory

George Baldock makes his 150th appearance for Sheffield United today when the Blades take on AFC Bouremouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Baldock, who joined United from MK Dons in the summer of 2017, has been through many highs and lows during that time but one moment still stands out and it comes from the early days.

Reflecting on his time in South Yorkshire, and the possibility of reaching what would be a significant milestone during the meeting with Scott Parker’s team, Baldock described the 4-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough three months after joining as the highlight of his United career so far.

“I still say to all my family and friends the best game was at Hillsborough,” he said. “From me being from down south, I didn’t quite understand it until I set foot out there and it hit me in the face.”

And three changes for the hosts...

and it’s an unchanged side for the Blades - Mousset back on the bench and Baldock makes his 150th appearance for the Blades

United have faced their rivals from Dorset 17 times and lost only once, winning 11 of their previous meetings in the process. That defeat came in August 1987, with United emerging victorious in nine of their 10 outings since then. The draw occurred on their last appearance at this ground, when Billy Sharp scored a late equaliser on the opening weekend of the 2019/20 Premier League season - United’s first top-flight contest for 12 years.
