Sainsbury’s is offering Nectar shoppers 25% off more than 600 Taste the Difference products – and there’s plenty for vegetarians to get excited about.
As a vegetarian, supermarket deals can sometimes leave me feeling like I’ve missed out. But Sainsbury’s latest Taste the Difference offer has plenty of meat-free treats, and I’ve used the discounts to build a seriously indulgent three-course dinner.
Nectar shoppers can currently get 25% off more than 600 Taste the Difference products, with the offer running until Tuesday, October 6. So, if you fancy a cosy autumn feast without spending hours in the kitchen, here’s what I’d pick.
To start, it has to be the Leek, Potato & Barber’s Cheddar Soup, now £2.25 with Nectar instead of £3. It’s packed with leek, potato and mature Cheddar, alongside garlic, cream and herbs. The 600g pot serves two, making it an easy win for a starter.
For the main event, I’d grab the Butternut Squash & Sage Ravioli, reduced to £2.60 from £3.50. The egg pasta is filled with butternut squash, mascarpone and sage – but I’m not stopping there.
I’d smother it in Four Cheese Sauce, down to £2.43 from £3.25, before adding the Ultimate Garlic & Mozzarella Flatbread, now £2.62 instead of £3.50.
Yes, that is an enormous amount of cheese. No, I have absolutely no regrets.
Dessert is where I’d keep the chocolate theme going with Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream, reduced to £2.62 from £3.50. Made with Belgian dark chocolate and West Country double cream, a couple of scoops would be the perfect finale.
The best part? With a little planning, this deal makes it surprisingly easy to create a vegetarian feast that feels far more luxurious than the price suggests.
Offer runs until October 6. Nectar required for discounted prices. Products subject to availability.
