A woman was struck by a tram in Sheffield city centre this afternoon.
The incident happened outside Sheffield Cathedral according to eyewitnesses.

One man said the tram was travelling towards the Cathedral stop from the direction of High Street when the collision occurred.

He said the woman ended up on the ground and suffered a head injury but she was conscious.

Passers-by gave first aid until paramedics arrived.
Trams were suspended but serviced are now running again.
