Sheffield Supertram disruptions after police shut busy Upper Hanover Way junction by university
Major disruptions this morning ahead of rush hour
Trams are disrupted in Sheffield today ahead of rush hour after police shut one of the busiest junctions in the city.
The corner of Upper Hanover Way and West Street is under police guard this morning (September 21) over reports of a serious collision last night.

The junction includes the tracks for the Supertram Yellow and Blue route from Cathedral to Middlewood and Malin Bridge.
As a result, the Yellow and Blue route is currently suspended from Cathedral in the direction of Hillsborough.
Sheffield Supertram advise passengers that tram tickets are valid on First Bus services in the area.
The 81 and 82 First Bus services are options to travel between Hillsborough and Shalesmoor for Kelham Island.
Services are continuing to operate between Cathedral and Meadowhall Interchange.
South Yorkshire Police said: “Please be aware that a road closure is in place on Upper Hanover Street in Sheffield due to a road traffic collision.
“The road is closed at the crossroads with Glossop Road heading in the direction of St Mary's Gate.
“We are advising people to avoid the area and plan an alternative route if possible.”
