Lane closure to fix water leak on one of Sheffield's busiest roads as commuters warned
It comes after the business claimed to have sent repair crews to the site last week.
Commuters have been warned of a lane closure on one of Sheffield’s busiest roads as Yorkshire Water tackles a long-standing leak.
The business is closing part of St Mary’s Road from 7pm today, Tuesday, September 29, on a permit that runs until October 5.

It comes after it claimed to have sent repair crews to the site last week.
Drinking water has been bubbling up and washing across the three-lane carriageway for up to three months.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “There will be a lane closure in place on the eastbound carriageway of the A61, close to 55 St Mary’s Road, Sheffield, whilst our contract partners, M Group, repair an air valve.
“We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause as we work as quickly as possible to complete the repair and return the carriageway to normal as soon as we can.”
