Sheffield traffic: Council creates explainer video for 'Dutch' roundabout amid fears of 'carnage'

Sheffield city council chiefs have produced an explainer video for the new cyclists’ priority ‘Dutch’ roundabout - amid fears it will be ‘carnage’.

The authority is promoting a film it made with contractors John Sisk and Son ahead of the replacement for West Bar roundabout opening in November.

It will be only the second ‘Dutch’ roundabout in the country, after Cambridge in 2020, and will have a circular outer track for bicycles, with vehicles required to give way.

Hundreds of Star readers fear although they may be popular in Holland, it will lead to chaos and even carnage in Sheffield.
