Drivers declare boycott of Drakehouse Retail Park due to 'ridiculous' speed bumps
“Just don't go there, they'll soon change them when it hits the stores in their pockets.”
Drivers have continued to heap criticism on new speed bumps at a popular Sheffield shopping centre - with many declaring a boycott.
Customers say sleeping policemen at Drakehouse Retail Park are too steep to go over slowly - but cause a big bang at any other speed.
It is believed they were installed to deter boy racers who gather in the huge car park after hours.

Writing on The Star’s Facebook page, Sam Jepson said: “They are genuinely the most ridiculous speed bumps ever made.”
Rory Pollitt added: “They're absolutely terrible. I drove over one at a snail's pace and my car genuinely bottomed out.”
Jez Groom explained what was going on.

“This is to stop boy races and idiots who frequently use the park as a racetrack on an evening, plus a car meet once a month taking over the retail park and causing problems for the shops.
“The barriers can’t be used effectively as these idiots are on there during trading hours and well after closing.”
Jim Torpey was one of many to declare a boycott.
“Just don't go there, they'll soon change them when it hits the stores in their pockets.”
Shops at Drakehouse include Starbucks, McDonald’s, Halfords, Currys and Sports Direct.
Park owner Hines UK was approached for comment.
