Third man arrested over murder of 91-year-old pensioner Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Clark
A third arrest has been made over the murder of 91-year-old Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Clark.
The OAP was found at her home on Peveril Close, Kiveton Park, Rotherham, with serious injuries on September 11, 2025.

She passed away in hospital as a result of her injuries around two months later on November 12, 2025.
Speaking on March 17, 2026 - just over four months on from Betty’s death - South Yorkshire Police confirmed detectives believe Betty sustained her injuries the day before she was found seriously injured.
The force also revealed that Betty’s bank card was stolen on the same day, and was used to make multiple transactions around the Kiveton Park area over a six day period running from then (Wednesday, September 10, 2025), through to Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
In a recent development, a 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on June 10.
He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Adam Watkinson said: “We have been conducting several lines of enquiry, including trawling through hours of CCTV, speaking to possible witnesses and anyone in the area at the time Betty sustained her injuries.
“Betty is missed greatly by those who knew her. She was well-loved within her community, by many friends and neighbours.
“Yesterday's arrest moves us one step closer to finding the answers that Betty's family deserve."
