Parson Cross Park: Travellers leave popular Sheffield park days after setting up camp

Caravans and vehicles arrived at the site on Parson Cross Park on Monday evening, with some of the people saying that they had pitched up at the park because they had nowhere to go, and saying they would be there for a few days.

But last night, the park appeared to have been cleared of the vehicles, with no sign of them at the park, when The Star visited.

Earlier in the week, Sheffield Council had outlined a plan to remove them, warning that they faced enforcement action if they remained.

But Star readers have had their say and some say they would like to see a dedicated site for travellers.
