Police re-visit murder scene one month on after fatal stabbing in Sheffield

Police officers will be re-visiting a murder scene in Sheffield today - one month on after a young dad was stabbed to death on a city street.

To help catch the killer of 22-year-old Jarvin Blake, police officers are due to spend time in Burngreave, where he was attacked, in a bid to trace witnesses.

Yesterday, his heartbroken partner, Kelsey Dixon, paid tribute to him, describing him as a 'fantastic dad'.

She revealed that their young son keeps asking when his daddy is coming home.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Handley said: "This brutal attack has resulted in not only the loss of a young man’s life, but has also left three small children without a father, and his fiancée robbed of her partner.

"We must provide answers for his family and identify those responsible, but we need you, the local communities', help."

He added: "To understand exactly what happened on the afternoon of the fatal attack, we have been working extensively over the past four weeks. We have reviewed hours of CCTV footage, executed searches at nine properties, made house to house enquiries and identified various, possible forensic opportunities.

"Our investigation is at a critical stage and the information you provide could be key in assisting to hold those responsible to account."

Four men, aged 24, 25, and two 26-year-olds, have been arrested in connection with the death and are all on bail pending further enquiries.
