Police issue statement after woman’s body sadly found in Sheffield house

The body of a woman was found in a house in Sheffield after a member of the public raised concerns for her welfare.

South Yorkshire Police said a call was received at around 7.10pm yesterday and officers who responded found a body in a house on Moss Grove, Hackenthorpe.

No other details have yet been released but the death is not being treated as suspicious.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called at around 7.10pm yesterday by a member of the public reporting concerns for an individual in the Moss Grove area of Sheffield.

“Officers visited a property and sadly discovered the body of a woman.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”

Meanwhile, the body of a woman in her 40s was found at a house on Blagden Street, Wybourn, on Saturday afternoon.

Police cordoned off the street while enquiries were carried out but the death is not being treated as suspicious.
