The latest work, again carved from stone and featuring the health service logo inside a heart with a key through it, appeared overnight outside Stannington Park.

Relationships on the rocks due to lockdown

It joins the statue which was placed on Loxley Village Green last week as a memorial to those on the front line of the battle against COVID-19.

Both pieces bear a close resemblance to the work of Sheffield artist Stoneface, whose real name is Andrew Vickers, but he has denied any involvement.

They bear the initials WN, which are understood to stand for Wood Nymph, a creative spirit whose identity is as shrouded in mystery as the famous graffiti artist Banksy.

The latest work appeared on Thursday, the day the nation stops each week at 8pm to applaud key workers from our windows and doorsteps.
