This is the moment a fearless worker waved as he sat atop a Sheffield tower block with his feet dangling over the edge.

The unknown worker showed his head for heights as he picked the perfect spot to enjoy his lunch perched on top of the tower block at the corner of Scotland Street and Tenter Street, near the law courts on West Bar this afternoon.

He appeared relaxed as he took in the amazing views across the city, even whistling and waving back as this photo was taken in the glorious sunshine.

The 14-storey Metis Apartments building is undergoing refurbishment to replace cladding which was found to be unsafe following the Grenfell Tower disaster, in which 72 people died.

Sheffield Council leaders earlier this year said a £3.5 billion government fund for the removal and replacement of dangerous cladding over 18 metres ‘isn’t good enough’ and would leave many in Sheffield, including residents of the Metis and Wicker Riverside buildings, facing financially ‘crippling’ bills.
