Buster, a 10-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, tragically lost his master a few weeks ago and Helping Yorkshire Poundies (HYPS) issued an urgent request for someone to take him in and show him the love he needs.

The Rotherham-based charity said it had been blown away by the response and Buster has now found his ‘perfect’ foster home in Sheffield, where he is ‘settling in nicely’ and apparently prefers the name Prince.

It praised everyone who shared the appeal, saying ‘you guys are superstars’.

"HUGE, HUGE thank you to Rebecca and family for stepping up and helping Prince Buster in his time of need,” it added.

He had to visit the vets yesterday to have a sample taken from a nasty lump on his foot, and he is now awaiting the results.
