Buster is still mourning the loss of his master, who passed away a few weeks ago, and desperately needs someone to take him in and show him the love he deserves.

The Rotherham-based charity Helping Yorkshire Poundies (HYPS) has issued an urgent appeal to find a place for the loveable dog.

South Yorkshire MP issues warning over dog thefts and explains why homes may be targeted by crooks

"He is booked in next Thursday for sedation and testing of a lump on his toe (which he may need removing in future). We desperately need him in a home by then!

“Buster is a 10-year-old Staffy whose owner sadly passed away a few weeks ago, leaving Buster with nowhere to go.

“He is a lovely boy who is understandably unsettled with all the big changes in his life recently bless him. He is clingy at the moment and doesn’t like to be left for long, but once he’s settled, he will be OK to be left for short periods. In true Staffy style, he is a chatterbox and likes to tell you what he wants!”

The charity said Buster needs a pet-free home but can live with children aged 12 or over.

“Staffy lovers needed - Buster needs to find his ‘Staffy people’ who understand and embrace his chatty, quirky and loveable personality,” it added.
