A one-year-old baby girl has been taken to hospital after a crash in Barnsley this morning.

She was in a Renault Megane which was involved in a collision with Renault Aprilia motorbike on Doncaster Road, Barnsley, at 8.25am.

A 23-year-old man riding the motorbike and a 28-year-old man driving the Renault escaped unharmed.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "A one-year-old girl travelling in the Renault Megane was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not thought to be serious."
