16-year-old, Skye, has been missing since the released footage caught her riding a bicycle along Stone Lane into Shirebrook Valley Nature Reserve.

Inspector Gareth Thomas from Sheffield, who is overseeing the search for Skye, said: “It is now over 48 hours since our last confirmed sighting of Skye on her bicycle going into the nature reserve.

Officers helping with the search for Skye are now asking residents of the S12 and S13 communities, who have private CCTV footage, to check their cameras from the last couple of days, in order to help police establish whether Skye left the nature reserve and where she may have gone.

Inspector Thomas said: “I’d also ask any motorists with dash cameras fitted, who have been travelling through the local area, to go back over your footage from the last couple of days in case there is footage of Skye and you’ve perhaps not realised.”

Anyone who may have footage that can help police is asked to email it to [email protected], quoting incident number 951 of 26 July in the subject line.
