An ambulance worker from South Yorkshire has been jailed after bombarding a 15-year-old with inappropriate messages on social media before sexually assaulting her.

Jamie Robinson, 33, of West Street, in Thorne, Doncaster, asked the teenage girl if she wanted to lose her virginity to him in messages that he sent to her on platforms including Snapchat and Facebook messenger.

Sheffield Children’s Hospital has received a funding boost that takes it a step closer to building its own helipad.

Sheffield film and TV star Sean Bean has accepted ‘substantial damages’ over phone hacking by the News Of The World.

The Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings star was one of 15 celebrities to agree a settlement this week with the now-defunct paper’s publisher, News Group Newspapers (NGN).
