Latest: Police take down cordon after search for gunman in Sheffield

Police officers searching for a gunman in Sheffield had removed a cordon around a disused brewery.

Officers have searched the disused Stones brewery in Neepsend Lane, Neepsend, and have re-opened surrounding streets.

They have also searched wasteland around the brewery.

South Yorkshire Police has not yet revealed whether the gunman has been caught.

An operation was mounted at 5.15am when a man armed with a gun was seen entering the brewery.
