It was the culmination of over two decades of marathon running, bucket rattling and pushing his pram through Sheffield for for the 85-year-old. He was showered with praise by his countless fans both in Sheffield and nationwide, and even earned him the well-deserved Pride of Britain Award 2023.

Now, figures show John has raised another £123,000 since achieving his dream, with over £20,000 of that over this summer alone.
It comes after The Star caught up with John on one of his strolls through the city centre on May 17, 2024, when his total on JustGiving stood at a little over £1,100,000.
Since then, his fans have donated another £23,000, meaning John on average has raised over £250 a day this summer.
