This was the scene outside a block of Sheffield town centre student flats last night after a fire broke out inside.

Emergency services were called to The Anvil block of flats on Clough Road, near Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane stadium, at around 9pm last night.

Firefighters from Sheffield Central fire station found a chip pan ablaze and smoke inside the the building.

Emergency services were called to The Anvil block of flats on Clough Road, near Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane stadium, at around 9pm last night.

No one is understood to have been injured in the incident,
