Powerful pictures taken by Sheffield residents reveal how the city was struck by lightning multiple times earlier this week, during a thunderstorm that caused intense showers across the region.
It comes after a house on Millhouses Lane, Millhouses, was struck by a dramatic lightning bolt on Tuesday, June 16 and more than 20 firefighters were deployed to the property to put out the flames.
Smoke could be seen rising from the property, from points all over the city as emergency workers battled the huge blaze.
