The day before they gathered to say their final goodbyes at Sam’s funeral yesterday, the teenager’s mum, Gaynor, posted her thoughts on Facebook to pay tribute to her beloved son.
She said: “Can’t find words to think that our baby is gone, we are heartbroken beyond words could say.
“We will do you proud Sam, a celebration of your life. We love you like you won’t believe.

People lined the streets yesterday to pay their respects to Sam as the funeral cortege left his East Dene home.
Dozens of bikers answered his family’s call to accompany the former Oakwood School pupil on his final journey.
Balloons tied to lampposts marked the route and flares were let off.
