Woman found dead and man arrested as ANOTHER Sheffield murder probe launched

Emergency services were called at approximately 6.10am this morning, following reports a woman had been found with injuries at a property in Castlebeck Drive.

Neighbours reported six police cars and an ambulance in attendance.

A 45-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is being treated as suspicious at this time and a 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently in police custody.

A post-mortem examination to determine cause of death is expected to be held later today, and formal identification has not yet taken place.

There is a heightened police presence in the Castlebeck Drive area while officers carry out initial enquiries.
