Woman arrested in connection with Ecclesall Road assault that left man critically injured

A 31-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with an incident in Ecclesall Road yesterday (September 20), in which a man was seriously injured.

Emergency services were called shortly after 5.30pm to reports that a man had been assaulted. The 36-year-old was taken to hospital by air ambulance, where he remains in a critical condition.

The woman, from Sheffield, is currently in police custody being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Yesterday Ecclesall Road was closed while police dealt with the incident, and the injured man was flown to hospital by air ambulance.
